Review Heidelberg Stahlfolder Ti 52
Heidelberg Stahlfolder Ti 52
The Stahlfolder Ti 52 was launched in 1993, preceding Heidelberg's acquisition of Stahl in 1999. The machine replaced the Stahlfolder Tx 52 and was unveiled alongside the KD series. Heidelberg revamped the design of the Ti 52 and included a double ball roller and an inverter control - hence the i' in the machine's name. The resulting machine has proved a great success for the manufacturer. It is the best selling 52cm machine on the market. Cogliamo loccasione per invitarvi a farci visita e poter così testare personalmente la produttività di questa piegatrice Stahlfolder su ogni tipo di lavoro.
The newer fold rollers are retrofittable as they tend to wear out over the life of the machine. Models were built in a modular way so there was the option of a second unit or knife unit. The knife shafts have li...

WGM test the new XL 75 in Slovenia
The constant training is essential for the company growth. This is our belief since the beginning and this is the reason why our staff inspected the new Heidelberg XL 75-6 colours + coater with extended delivery (LX). It was located side by side with a CD 74-6+LX in order to test the actual improvements that Heidelberg is experiencing during the years, improving each model without alter its essence.
Our visit took place during a beautiful day when the machine was running in one of the biggest and most important print shops in Slovenia that the local Heidelberg agency use as demonstrative showroom.
We had the pleasure to test and verify the real high productivity of the machine with flexibility to pass from 0,03 mm to 0,8 mm and a very high quality even at 18.000 copies per hour.
The new feeder avoids any problem and allows...

Our Overhaulings
Overhauling what a trap behind this concept!
The market of used machinery is strongly conditioned by the word "OVERHAULING" in the contracts. Here at World Graphic Machine we strongly believe that the overhauling of a printing machine has to start from the honest relation between the buyer and the seller. Clarity and seriousness are our way of working to avoid superficiality and carelessness. For this reason we at World Graphic Machine have decided to follow a method which is infallible from many points of view, following the methods established by the builder, without falsifying any component in order to present a newer machine. And all of this is certified by our reliable collaborators.
The customer satisfaction is the best way for us to understand we are going in the right way. Competence - Punctuality - Fair trading: this is...

Heidelberg ups folding productivity by 30 per cent
Heidelbergs Stahlfolder customers now have the opportunity to significantly increase the productivity of their buckle plate folders in the Stahlfolder TH and TD series. This is possible thanks to two new steps introduced by developers at Heidelberg.
The sheet to be folded is simply rotated 90 degrees at the feeder and a new pneumatic twin lay system has been implemented before the second folding unit. As a result of the sheet's shorter feed length at the same press speed, the performance is increased by around 30 per cent depending on sheet format.
Fig. 1: Oblong sheet feed
Productivity can be increased by up to 30 per cent simply by rotating the sheet to be folded at the feeder.
Before the new pneumatic twin lay system was implemented, the problem of the extra speed generated by oblong feeding impacted on the second unit....

How much does the human relation between customer and supplier means?
The pride of our work? ... Our customers, of course !
Disintermediation is that phenomenon that occurs when traditional distribution and sale channels are supplanted, mostly by the use of data processing systems. During a not-far-past, communication, information retrieval and goods transfers were difficult and it was necessary the presence of dealers between manufacturer and customer. Nowadays, thanks to (or because of, as you prefer) the Internet, information are moving even faster from one side of the world to the opposite, reducing this way the asymmetry of information between seller and buyer.
Does this means that the seller is becoming less important ?
Its clear that complex products as a printing machine is, are not involved in this phenomenon of disintermediation, as the role of seller is essential. It is thanks to the ...

Etic and Business
Granted that profit is the typical aim of partnership or stock companies, we believe that it is necessary to analyse what are the ways that allow to achieve this purpose according to a code of ethics and those that should not be followed.
Certainly the faster way could be avoiding difficulties, cheating the customer or supplier on small amounts or on insignificant deals. This behaviour becomes a real problem when it represents the normal and only way to do business. If this is the easiest way, we strongly think that it is the least lasting, considering that nowadays information spread so quickly and there is no time nor chance for cheaters.
In our world, even though its small, we are very pleased to say that none of our customers or suppliers raised objections against us. Unfortunately, it is us who have opened some small dispute...

Price and Value...

Open World 2009 - 17th October 2009 - Future is now !
Not only a technical day took place on Saturday 17th October at World Graphic Machines showroom. WGM is an Italian leading company in dealing with used printing equipment Heidelberg & Polar of the last technology.
The purpose of this event was to analyse past changes that occured to the graphic industry and, above all, to cast these arguments into the future in order that they will not be only theories, but a concrete help to printers who fight every day in their companies.
During the day many important and well-known speakers followed one another, such as Mr. David Serenelli, the vice-president of TAGA Italy, the association that WGM is sponsoring since many years. In his speech, Mr. Serenelli analysed the differences between offset and digital printing, highlighting then a perfect interconnection between both processes. For ins...

Technical review Heidelberg CD 102 post Drupa 2000

Theory Of Constraints - T.O.C.
Theory of Constraints (TOC) is an overall management philosophy introduced by Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt in his 1984 book titled The Goal, that is geared to help organizations continually achieve their goal.[1] The title comes from the contention that any manageable system is limited in achieving more of its goal by a very small number of constraints, and that there is always at least one constraint. The TOC process seeks to identify the constraint and restructure the rest of the organization around it, through the use of the Five Focusing Steps.
The underlying assumption of Theory of Constraints is that organizations can be measured and controlled by variations on three measures: throughput, operating expense, and inventory. Throughput is money (or goal units) generated through sales. Operating expense is money that goes into the syst...
